This month we’re buying America’s largest “mineral rights” company—Black Stone Minerals (BSM).
We’re in the early days of what I’ve started calling an “energy super shock,” a multi-year event that will see the price of oil, now in the $70-per-barrel range, soar to $150… and likely to $250 on energy spikes.
This means a lot more exploration and production companies going in search of new reserves.
Part of that process will be tied to mineral rights. Those who own such rights are now in the catbird seat because they have an asset that energy companies need in order to find new sources of oil and gas. Thus, we are on the cusp of a boom in demand for mineral rights.
So this month, we’re tapping into this coming boom by buying more than 20 million acres of mineral rights across 41 states—and a huge “dividend” of 11.7% per year.

Meanwhile, in our Expert Insights story this month, I sit down for a Q&A interview with Kristin Wilson, International Living’s new Go Overseas Mentor. Kristin has spent most of the last 20 years living abroad and has built a business helping others do the same.
In our chat, Kristin discusses the financial reasons that are inspiring more and more Americans to move abroad… what her clients—people like you and me, really—are looking for in moving overseas… how they choose where they want to go… and much more.
Finally, in this month’s Intel Updates, I draw your attention to an item on Apple’s new Vision Pro mixed-reality headset. While the product has received mixed reviews, and is priced at an astronomical level ($3,499), the fact that it exists and that Apple built it says one thing that’s fundamentally important to us as investors: The metaverse, generally considered a fad by the mass media, is alive and kicking.
Apple builds products based on the future it sees—not the present everyone is talking about. That’s how it was with the iPhone.
Which means huge investment opportunities await those who see, as I do, what Apple sees. You can read more about that, as well as the other Intel Updates, here.
